While Jay Williams was attempting to return to the NBA some three years after a tragic motorcycle accident, he was put on hold on Sunday when the New Jersey Nets decided to cut the point guard less than two weeks before the start of the season.
Nets coach Lawrence Frank explained that it was a difficult decision with a player like him who showed so much desire to play again in the NBA. But he added that the club found best at this time to let him go and evaluate some other options. It was difficult to put on the line-up a player who 3.5 years off for injury.
Williams, who is a former national player of the year at Duke, recently signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Nets just before training camp. Even though he was aware that his chances of making the team were slim, he was training hard for the past month and a half in an effort to make his NBA comeback. However, it was obvious that Williams has not found the quickness that made him an exceptional player. The Nets had coco chanel quotes 15 players with guaranteed contracts. If you spend any time on business internet looking for legitimate work-at-home opportunities, you’ve probably stumbled across this one – “Get paid to do consumer product reviews!” I’ve discovered a website that actually pays for consumer reviews. All you need is a webcam, simone perele the nerve to sit in front of it and talk about your favorite products. You choose the product – anything from coffee creamer to cars, hand lotion to shoes.
I discovered this website by accident, when I was looking for wholesale products to sell in my eBay store – and thought this would be great for other work-at-home moms (and dads) looking for additional ways to earn money at home using the computer.
The site, Expo Consumer Television, pays users between $2 and $10 to submit video product reviews. I have posted several video reviews and the process is fast and easy. Just follow the simple guidelines on the site, and when your video is accepted you will see the money appear in your account in just a few hours. You also earn money for traffic, so if you are a good promoter and link-dropper, this will be easy for you.
The videos must be a minimum of 1 minute long, and you must show the product you are reviewing. The site offers different contests and promotions each month so reviewers can earn even more money. (I received a bonus check when two of my videos were chosen by other members as the best video of the month.) Reviewing products is fun – much like doing your own commercials. Some product review videos can even show up on YouTube and other sites.

CarbonCopyPro (CCP) is a system for marketing a direct sales home business opportunity called Wealth Masters International (WMI offers very expensive education, services, and guidance for personal finance to it’s members…cost to join can range up to $20,000). CarbonCopyPro is a marketing system that claims to remove the need for you to sell any of the WMI products and services, and the system does everything for you. You are responsible for driving traffic to the system and CCP takes over from there.
Regardless of how good or bad a marketing system or business opportunity seems, there are marriage things you must do well when you work in a home business. I’ll cover the two later but let’s do a quick CarbonCopyPro review to determine at a marketing system level if it’s a scam or not.
Company: CarbonCopyPro was created specifically to market the direct sale opportunity of WMI. It apparently took over 4 years to create and a significant investment. The process is said to weed out the tire kickers and bring in the serious business builder.
Product: With CarbonCopyPro, you get a marketing system to sell the very high dollar products at WMI. You are told to drive traffic to your website and then visitors pay a $39 application fee to be considered for the WMI business opportunity. The system then kicks in with phone calls from CCP staff along with an email auto responder series to ultimately try and close the deal. I talked with a current CCP member and they said you still need to make calls to your leads. Close rates are unknown and there are reports from previous distributors across the internet who said the system simply didn’t work as promised. The cost to use the marketing system is $149.75 per month.
Compensation Plan: The compensation from the marketing system is $14-$20 on every application that is submitted. Also, a CCP member told me that you get a recurring $30 per month on every person you recruit into WMI who uses CarbonCopyPro.
Scam Rating: I think marriage something to be said about a system that can be duplicated, but YOU still need to be involved. However, what concerns me is the statement in the CarbonCopyPro system that says there is large residual income in WMI. Residual income by definition, is received on a regular basis, with little effort required to maintain it month after month. Think recurring monthly purchases from customers. In the WMI plan, NEW sales need to continue to occur but are labeled as residual income when they really should be called affiliate commissions on your personal sales or override bonuses on new sales by those you personally sponsor.
The high entry point for the WMI business opportunity makes it a tough sell even for the CarbonCopyPro system. In addition, the mis-leading statements about residual income could be considered as questionable tactics by many. I’ve heard good things about the creator of the CCP system, I have heard his story and I feel he has branded himself well as a leader. But the bottom line to your success is your ability to take ownership of your home business.
There isn’t a system out there that will do it for you. You need to be involved!

1) Give VALUE to those prospects and business associates around you in your business.

Awakening Meaning at Work: Three Powerful Questions to Ask Yourself
Are you in the habit of of taking time each day to reflect on what matters most? We are usually so focused on getting through that ever-growing To Do list that we live in the future and not the present moment.
Many of the leaders in my executive coaching programs complain of not finding meaning in their work. We work on helping them to ponder on self-reflective questions.
What questions do you ask of yourself?
You can awaken a sense of meaning at work. There are many consultants, trainers and coaches who are committed to this process. Whether one is an executive looking for ways to rekindle commitment and community in the company, or whether one is simply burned-out and bored at work, here are some exercises and suggestions for awakening meaning. Using a professional coach will greatly enhance the effectiveness of these suggestions.
Ask yourself three questions daily:
1. What ignites my passion in work today? This first question serves to reclaim attention from the tyranny of the urgent and redirect it to what is truly meaningful.
