Pretty in Pink Contact Lenses

Want a different eye color than the one you were born with? No longer does anyone have to be satisfied with what biology gave them. Pink contact lenses, along with other colors, have found their way into the market and they are making quite a splash!

Pink contact lenses are mainly worn for cosmetic purposes and generally are not for those needing a prescription to improve eyesight problems. Although it must be said that pink contact lenses still must be fitted by a professional eye care specialist and all lens wearers must follow the same cleaning procedures as regular contact lens wearers do.

Pink contact lenses are in a category all their own- meant for effect and to alter one’s eye appearance, say for example for a special night out. Many people go the pretty in pink contact lens route just because they want to show some variety and have some fun.

It should not come as a shock that young teenage girls and twentysomething women can more often be seen sporting pink contact lenses than young men. It is a fashion statement that eyes can be stylish too.

Pink contact lenses come in “enhancer tints” and “opaque colored.” The opaque tends towards being a little more dramatic but not too much so. Pink lenses can be purchased through your eye doctor or over the Internet. It is advisable however to have regular eye check ups and discuss the “fun” option in contact lenses with people who know their business well and can answer any and all questions you might have.

So the next time you get decked out in a pretty pink gown ladies, don’t forget that pink contact lenses are now an option to dress you up even more.

  • Chemises are among the most flexible of sexy lingerie. A chemise can be worn as a beautiful and soft undergarment, or dressed up with a matching jacket and skirt to serve as an elegant top. Of course, the chemise has also found a home in the bedroom, offering style and comfort as well as sex appeal. Chemises have been in use as undergarments since the Middle Ages, but only in recent times have they morphed into the sexy lingerie items that they are today.

Historically, chemises were worn as undergarments to protect outerwear items from absorbing sweat and body oils. In the days before easy laundering, the chemise was the only item that was washed on a regular basis. At that time, chemises often featured sleeves and were made of simple, durable fabrics that could be easily washed. Naturally, the rich wore chemises of higher quality and beauty, but the chemise was not designed to be seen in public. Both men and women wore these functional chemises, which served much the same purpose as today’s men’s undershirts.

As laundry became easier to manage, the garment was no longer needed as a protective layer and it fell out of favor in the early 20th century. However, a new fashionable and provocative version was soon developed, and the chemise has remained popular ever since as a piece of sexy lingerie.

The chemises of today have much in common with both the babydoll and the camisole. Chemises are generally short, tight and sleeveless, offering full yet minimal coverage under revealing dresses and skirt outfits. A camisole is generally shirt-length, ending at the waist. A separate slip must be paired with a camisole to provide full coverage. A chemise, on the other hand, extends to the top of the thigh. Therefore, a slip is rarely required.

Babydolls are usually of very similar style and fabric to chemises. However, the babydoll skirt is usually flared, while the chemise is fitted and skimming. Both garments offer excellent sleepwear alternatives, but the unique cut of the chemise makes it a terrific multi-purpose garment, moving seamlessly from undergarment to nightgown. Babydolls also tend to feature numerous decorative elements such as ribbons, bows and fur trim. Most chemises are more streamlined, drawing beauty from simplicity rather than frills.

Many chemises of today are decidedly naughty lingerie pieces. Plunging necklines and fitted construction offer great sex appeal. Popular fabrics include lace and silk. Consider a daring chemise made of see-through material, or a more demure piece in a dark opaque. Many chemises feature cutouts and other design elements that are designed to show off certain areas of the body.

Chemises are truly multi-purpose, a rare feat in the specialized world of sexy lingerie. A great chemise offers the beauty and simplicity of a camisole, the sleepwear function of a babydoll and the body enhancing features of a teddy or bodysuit. The soft, sensuous fabrics and beautiful cuts provide a rich and luxurious feel. The wide variety of design and color choices ensures that no matter what image you wish to project, there is certain to be a chemise that will meet your needs.

  • The Perfect Way To The Perfect Fit

You may have never even heard of shoe stretchers, but you’ll be glad you are now. We’re all familiar with the scenario of buying new shoes. Time to toss out the old raggedy pair you’ve been hanging onto for the past two years if you’re a guy, or perhaps time to add a new pair to your already overwhelming collection if you’re anything like a particular lady friend this author knows. So you go to the shoe store and try on countless different pairs of shoes. Too big, too small, too ugly. Finally, you find the pair you know is for you – they’re perfect. The size feels a bit snug but not too bad, and besides, these shoes are stylish. You make the purchase and go home feeling great about your new pair of shoes.

The next morning you’re getting ready for work or school, and eagerly put your new shoes on. Feeling confident in the feet zone, you go about your day.

    But disaster strikes.

Your feet are in pain. Your new shoes that felt comfortable enough the previous evening are now tight and painful (but at least they still look great). You get home and wearily tug the offending footwear off, wondering why this could happen. Maybe you’re considering returning the shoes (not as easy as it sounds, trust me).

So what’s the solution? Anyone else might go out and get another pair of shoes and hope for the best. Not you, though – you know that you have one simple thing to do to make your new shoes comfortable as can be.

A shoe stretcher – often called a shoe expander – looks a bit like a little foot. Often wooden or plastic, you can insert them into your shoes and they do exactly what their name implies – stretch your shoes. Gone are the days of “breaking in” your new shoes. If your shoes are leather, often a shoe stretcher will come with a special “stretching oil” to apply on the outside of the shoe to ease and hasten the process.

How long does this take? Generally no more than a day or two. If you feel your shoes starting to tighten up after leaving the shoe stretcher in overnight, put it in again. This is the easiest and quickest way to make your shoes comfortable and exactly the right size for you – not to mention for those of us who suffer from the occasional bunion or corn (guilty) this can make the process of using new shoes tremendously easier.

So what are you waiting for? Get those new shoes out of the closet and onto your feet where they belong after using some quality shoe stretchers.

  • Trying to find a color that works for your skin tone isn’t the easiest thing in the world. Here are some quick tips to help you choose:

    1. Fair Skin – If you are a blond or a redhead, you need to stick with dark colors. Your pale skin looks even worse when paired with white. Go with navy, blues, basic black or a sage green.

    2. Sallow Skin – If you look a bit yellow or green, you definitely need to avoid wearing these colors. A yellow shirt will just make you look like a giant banana. Go with whites, blues and black.

    3. Darker Skin – You have it made. Pretty much all colors work for you. Stay away from dark browns or dull colors that don’t highlight your gorgeous color.

Now, let’s move onto eye color and what will highlight your features:

    4. Blue Eyes – If you want to bring out your baby blues, you’ve got to wear blue. Look for shirts that match the color of your eyes. This will really make them more noticeable.

    5. Brown Eyes with Red Tones – If you have dark brown eyes that have flecks or stripes of red, you need to go with warm tones to highlight them. Stick with oranges, reds or yellows.

    6. Brown Eyes with Green Tones- If you have a hint of green in your eyes, you’ll want to bring it out. Purple, especially plum, is the ideal color to do this. You’ll be amazed at how green your eyes look.

    7. Green or Hazel Eyes – These eyes can get lost in a color shuffle. If they are green, wear similar green colors to draw attention to them. Hazel is a little more difficult. Pick the color you want to draw out the most – for blue, wear blue, for green, wear green.

So, that’s out the way. Let’s move onto what season you are. Yes, this will actually help you find the right colors for you. First, look at the underside of your arm. Do the veins appear blue or green? If they are blue, you are a cool tone. If they are green, you are a warm tone.

    8. Cool Tones – Winter/Spring – These skin colors look best in primary colors. Look for bright shirts in teal, purple or Kelly green. You can get away with bold color choices. What colors do you associate with Winter and Spring? This is your jumping off point for color choices.

    9. Warm Tones – Summer/Autumn – These skin colors need earth tones. Neutral colors or pale primary colors work best for you. Think of the season to help you pick the right colors.

    10. Stuck in the Middle – If you have a skin tone that’s really neither pale nor sallow, you can get away with mixing up your warm and cool tones. Pair bright bold colors with a more subtle earth tone to capitalize on your versatility. For example, a bright blue shirt will work well with a pair of drab khakis.

  • Mentor? Who Needs A Mentor?

Who needs a mentor. . .everyone who is truly serious about achieving more of their true potential, personally and financially. In fact, Richard Brooke says:

“If you’re someone who wants to break out and do something extraordinary that you would not do on your own initiative, you better have a coach-and you better have a great one.”

If you doubt Mr. Brooke’s quote may I suggest you investigate all top success icons in any field and you will find they all have Mentors and Coaches. It is reported that Michael Jordon at the peak of his career had 11 coaches.

You may be asking: what’s the difference between a Mentor and a Coach? Webster’s dictionary defines a . . .

Mentor as: “An experienced and trusted friend and prudent advisor.”

Coach as: “a private tutor; one who instructs or trains a performer or a team of performers.”

We have defined two types of Mentors – Life and Area Specific Mentors. A Life Mentor is one whose success system or methodology is universal and the foundation for success in every area of a person’s life.

Finding a Life Mentor whose success system is universal to everyone, no matter his or her education, talents or social status, is extremely difficult. This is why Napoleon Hill, author of Think & Grow Rich, is so unique and the ideal Life Mentor because his success system is the foundation for every outstanding achievement and fortune ever made.

An Area Specific Mentor is a mentor, often referred to as a “coach,” whose knowledge and expertise is in one or a few areas of life. For example, a head coach of a National Football League (NFL) team possesses knowledge, skills and a system encompassing all aspects of the game. However, he utilizes coaches skilled in the different areas of the game such as offense, defense and special teams.

Below are six areas in life where we can use Area Specific Mentors/Coaches:

    1. Physical/Health
    2. Family
    3. Mental/Educational
    4. Career/Financial
    5. Social/Civic
    6. Spiritual/Ethical

Seriously you say, do we and specifically myself really need a mentor? Let’s look at the facts:

No one person will live long enough to make all of the mistakes

In simple terms, mentors speed the learning process and are the reason for advancements in technology and the standards of living we enjoy today.

The last half-century has seen very little change statistically.

Using the oft-quoted post-war study published by the Social Security Administration and Denvey’s Economic Tables, less than 5% of the population at that time retired wealthy or financially independent. Sadly, a study done in March 2000 by the American Economic Review reported that the gap between “the haves” and “have nots” is widening.

Grade-Point-Score averages, according to studies, have barely been maintained over the last 50 years. Moreover, in professional sports, with all the advancements in mind and physical development, one would think that the number of super stars being produced would have increased dramatically; however, as a percentage, it remains virtually unchanged.

With the explosion of entrepreneurial opportunities in franchising and network marketing beginning in the 1980s, plus the same explosion from the mid-1990s on in Internet businesses, why doless than 5% of the participants in these ventures enjoy success and make any money! WHY?

Research and my own experience, which includes teaching an entrepreneurial course at a major community college for several years and working with several thousand participants in my Success and Wealth System course, leads me to one indisputable conclusion – Most people are without mentors, especially “Life Mentors.”

You may say: It only happens in movies or for those talented few you say! How about the heroics and courage against unbelievable odds in athletics, the military and in everyday life. These qualities of character and achievement were learned from a true Life Mentor such as parents, teachers and those who have paid the price to be called a Mentor.

Yes, we all need good Life Mentors and Coaches at every stage of our lives. But be careful to choose those who walk the talk and demonstrate and exemplify the life qualities and achievements in their own life.
