Stand For What’s Right

The time is always right to do the right thing. You achieve according to what you believe. More harm has been done by weak persons than by wicked persons. The problems of this world have been caused by the weakness of goodness rather than by the strength of evil. The true measure of a person is in his height of ideals, the breadth of his sympathy, the depth of his convictions, and the length of his patience. Eddie Rickenbacker encouraged us to “think positively and masterfully, with confidence and faith, and life becomes more secure, more fraught with action, richer in achievement and experience.” The right train of thought will take you to a better station in life.

To try and do what’s best and to remain essentially ourselves are really one and the same thing. Coach John Wooden said, “Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of being.” One secret of success is being able to put your best foot forward without stepping on anybody’s toes.

If you seek greatness, then forget greatness and ask for God’s will. You will find both. Elevate your personal standards of quality. Whatever you thought was good coach legacy perfume for now, add 10 percent more. Better is better.

  • Giorgio Armani is a popular menswear brand of clothing all over the world. The fashion house is also a source of superior and signature apparel. Through the years, the label has been making Italy proud because the designer and founder of the company is a pure Italian by heart and by legacy.

Like many other fashion designers, Armani had humble beginnings. While young, he was confused and tried entering a few other professions. He got into medicine before shifting gears to pursue a career in photography, which did not work out. From there, he worked as a window dresser in an Italian department store before finally getting into fashion designing.

With his skills and sheer talent for styling and designing clothes, Armani was able to establish his own design house in 1974. Together with venture partner and friend Sergio Galeotti, he put up a company called Giorgio Armani SpA. Initially, the company carried all men’s wear. A year after, lines for women were also unveiled.

Taking the lead from other fashion designers, Armani developed and launched his own perfume line in 1982. As usual and typical of the brand, perfumes were originally targeted for the male population. Fragrances for women followed afterwards. Among the most famous of the brands perfumes are the Emporio, Acqua di Gio, Remix, and Attitude, all for men, while for women there are striking names like Sensi, Beyonce Knowles’ and Armani Le Perfum.

Such perfumes are well known around the world. Demand for the products has also been very high since the company has actively distributed them. After perfumes, many other personal products came from the Armani brand like sunglasses, shoes and even several home accessories.

It might be because of competition, but another characteristics that separates and distinguishes Giorgio Armani from the rest is his unusual dislike for fellow Italian designers Valentino and Gianni Versace. As much as possible, he has always been emphasizing that he do not want anything to do with the two designers.

Giorgio Armani is one of the most admirable designers of the current generation. People around the world should be proud and satisfied that they could still get the chance to wear designs and clothing from this wonderful brand.

  • They sound like characters from an action video game – Orange Monster, Black Samurai, White Knight – but in fact, they’re three of the hippest watches made by Seiko and are much sought-after by wealthy enthusiasts and collectors, particularly in Asia.

This may come as a surprise, but Seiko watches are gaining an image as hip and collectable. In many parts of the world, the Seiko watch brand has been seen as reliable, but unremarkable. But look closely and an exceptional story begins to emerge.

Seiko burst onto the international watchmaking scene in 1969, when it caught off-guard and almost destroyed the Swiss watch industry with the launch of the Astron, the world’s first battery-powered quartz wristwatch. The Astron was more accurate and durable than the hand-wound mechanical Swiss watches costing several times as much. Overnight, demand for mechanical watches plummeted.

Many watchmaking innovations over the past three decades are probably due to Seiko: the first quartz watch; first quartz LCD with six-digit display (hours, minutes and seconds); first calculator watch; first quartz with day and date; first quartz chronograph (date, stopwatch and alarm); first TV watch; first thermic quartz watch (powered by the wearer’s body heat); first kinetic quartz watch (powered by the wearer’s movement)… and the list goes on. Seiko watches have been at the center of watch evolution, and its influence extends far beyond watchmaking: the LCDs in your clock radio, microwave oven or CD player all owe a debt to innovations made by Seiko.

Seiko, in fact, has been the innovator of so many industry “firsts” that it’s difficult to name them all. Recently, for example, was the 40th anniversary of the first quartz chronometer, launched at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Used to time marathons, it brought unprecedented precision to sports timekeeping, being accurate to within 0.2 seconds a day. Just a few years ago saw the 10th anniversary of the world’s first kinetic chronograph, the quartz watch powered by the movement of the wearer’s wrist, thereby eliminating the need for a battery. To celebrate the event, Seiko launched the Arctura Kinetic Chronograph, which takes kinetic movements to a new level of precision, being accurate to within 15 seconds per month.

While innovation and continuity rarely go together, Seiko has both. The company, founded in Tokyo by Kintaro Hattori in 1881, is still a family business. Although part of the business is a publicly traded company, the current president of Seiko Watch Corporation is the founder’s great-grandson, Shinji Hattori, who is also the nephew of the current honorable chairman.

Given Seiko’s history of producing revolutionary products and ideas that are emulated everywhere, you might expect that it would enjoy a reputation similar to that of Apple or Sony. Yet many people don’t few even realize that Seiko is the world’s leading manufacturer of watches, selling over 14 million watches annually. It also annually sells more than 350 million quartz movements to other watch makers. Here again, Seiko has revolutionized the watch making industry. Previously, only Swiss and Japanese companies could make reliable watches. But now anybody can simply add a dial, case and strap to a Seiko quartz movement and sell it under their own brand name. Although it doesn’t want to name companies it provides movements to, Seiko’s quartz movements are at the heart of many watches sold by some of the biggest name brands in fashion and sports.

Seiko doesn’t really get the respect it deserves. The product quality is phenomenal, but there’s a misperception of their brand.

Some people believe Seiko offers too many budget-price models. Cheap, in the public’s mind, means poor quality even if that’s not the case. Also, Seiko’s watch designs change too often. Some of the best Seiko watch designs never get the chance to develop a following, whereas the best Rolex or Omega watches stay in production for 20 or 30 years. For collectors, it’s a problem, and collectors add value to brands.

One Seiko executive recently stated the company is in the process of refining its brand. “We have very strong brand awareness, with around 70 per cent recognition of Seiko as a watchmaker. But there was some confusion about the brand. The company’s pioneering history, our dedication to producing elegant watches, wasn’t really understood. We’re proud of the company, so we decided to streamline and focus the branding, and emphasize our legacy.”

Until recently, regional Seiko companies sold the brand according to local tastes. But just recently the Japanese parent, Seiko Corporation, decided to overhaul its branding and marketing strategies. The company’s position is that customer perception of the brand should be the same in Tokyo, London, Paris, New York or Sydney. That means building a brand image that conveys core values, no matter what the market. Over a period of several months Seiko has revamped its public profile, from billboard and TV advertising to in-store presentation and packaging.

So far, the strategy has been successful. In line with company expectations, Seiko is gradually being seen as a premium watch brand. Not just trustworthy and reliable, but a real status brand. Technological innovation is at the heart of company, but Seiko watches have a certain refinement that they’re trying to emphasize also.

So, how might Seiko improve its brand status? Being the largest watch company, with an excellent line of products and constant innovation, perhaps Seiko could start by being a little less modest about their product.

  • When the freezing cold temperatures of winter roll in, it’s time to get a good dog coat. I know what you’re thinking. Do dogs really need dog clothes? That sounds ridiculous. Consider, though, that many of the dogs we cherish were not bred for the colder climate and temperatures that we live in, and it’s the responsibility of a pet owner to make sure that a small or medium size dog is comfortable during the icy winter.

There are many different kinds of dog coats from stylish denim to corduroy hooded jackets. You don’t have to sacrifice style for staying warm. After all, if you’re going to dress up your dog anyway, he might as well look good. Sometimes, it’s so cold that a sweater and coat should be worn together. This is especially true for the tiny, short haired breeds like Chihuahuas.

Another essential piece of apparel that any responsible dog owner needs are boots. Giving a dog boots may seem sillier that clothing, but really dogs of any size can benefit from wearing shoes. Most paws are not made to run on ice and snow, and dogs lose heat through their feet. This makes walking in snow both cold and painful. Also, rock salt and de-icing chemicals that are poured on sidewalks and streets can cause a lot of damage to your dog’s paws. Their feet can become dry, cracked and bleeding which can lead to an infection. You don’t want a vet visit just because you didn’t put some booties on your pooch. The de-icing chemicals are also toxic for dogs to ingest, so when your hound licks his feet after coming in, he’s at risk for getting sick. Once you look at the facts, getting dog clothes for winter is a practical, responsible thing to do for a owner of a small or medium size dog.

Grant Carroll is the loving father of four dogs and co-owner of http://www.littlepamperedpets.com with affordable dog clothes for dogs of all sizes and breed. Come visit Little Pampered Pets.com to find dog apparel to match any puppy’s personality! From argyle dog sweaters to corduroy coats and suede boots they have something for every pampered pooch. • How to Choose Bangles

Bangles are usually associated with India, and have been around for quite some time now. There is a large variety of bangles for you to choose from today like gold, metal and glass bangles. This is why choosing bangles to meet occasions proves to be quite a chore for some people.

If you want to wear glass bangles, it is better to choose them to meet your outfit as they go well with both black tie events and casual parties. It is better to wear an extra large set on both hands, while wearing minimalistic jewelry for formal wear. On wearing bold and bright color bangles, you are sure to be the focus of attention at any gathering.

You can also wear glass bangles with casual wear. Like perhaps multicolored ones with jeans and a nice top, along with flat soled Indian shoes. Glass bangles also go well with pencil skirts, pants and suits. However wear them carefully as they can hurt badly if they break.

Pearl bangles look great on dark suits

Silver and gold bangles are the favorites of every woman. You not only have the traditional gold bangles to choose from, but also gold and silver ‘Choories’ or circular wrist bangles are considered to be very popular choices today.

These gold bangles come with either golden or silver inlays crafted in them or various semi precious stones like diamonds and rubies. Pearl bangles look great with dark colored suits, are elegant and usually within your budget.

Of course, these bangles are on the expensive side, but are considered to be a wise investment to many people. However avoid wearing them for daily use as the expensive stones on those can chip off. If you want to wear gold bangles everyday, while doing normal household chores, then it is better to chose simple cut gold jewelry.

Choose bangles of the right width

When choosing bangles, choose one matching the width of your wrist. Those that are too tight will only block blood supply while loose one will only slip off. Women with large width wrists should go for narrow width bangles.

It is possible to wear metal and silver bangles on any occasion as they match with most dresses. Lac bangles are not only cool, but come with a beautiful design that will look special on you anytime.

And if you are bored of all these bangles, you can always try wood bangles which are available in various designs and styles with a wood finish and bright colors. These bangles, along with terracotta bangles give an ethnic sophistry and appeal to make you smarter than ever.

  • My only solace that summer is over is that fall has come. And with it, ubiquitous fashion magazines boasting the season’s must haves, gotta haves, wish you had. While I generally pore over such magazines, I’m especially voracious for the shoe section. If jeans are my first love, shoes are a very close second. I won’t even admit to how many pairs I own, partly because I lost count quite some time ago. Due to my collection (”collection” sound so much nicer than “obsession” doesn’t it?!) I am always eager to read what the “experts” are saying about shoe trends and how to apply them to long legs, and let’s face it- big feet. Typically I write very favorably about our good fortune in the height department. But let’s be honest. Sometimes the price we pay is looking longingly at the size 8 section while cursing our genes, or if we are freaks of the family as I am, just cursing in general. But just because we have big feet, ahem…non petite feet, doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the season’s hottest trends.

I could write a novel about the many styles, designs, trends, shapes, colors, textiles, genus, species, and families of shoes. And though it would be fascinating, I’ll spare you the delightful details. I’ll just talk about a few of my favorite styles. Now this one may be disputable, but my absolute favorite fall staple is a pair of warm, cozy, and comfortable Uggs. I’m aware that every fall, some fashion columnist deems Uggs “out.” Yet, I argue that this trend has staying power. People are still splurging on the real thing, or buying every kind of knock off known to man. So apparently their appeal has yet to wane. Next is the riding boot phenomenon. Who knew equestrian wear could be so fun? Like Uggs, I suspect there will be those who label these “so last season,” but again I beg to differ. Casual boots of all styles are a staple for your fall wardrobe.

What I appreciate most about both Uggs and riding boots are that they look great on long legs and big feet. Most women might avoid cutting the line of their legs nearly in half but we have a few inches to spare. Both of these styles also typically come in flats and large sizes. Another flattering trend for tall women is ballet flats which are showing up all over the place in fall textures like tweed, patent leather, and faux animal skins. I won’t lecture those of you who do not wear heels; I understand the temptation to avoid all the unoriginal comments about already being tall enough, not “needing” heels, the air up there, yada yada yada. Regardless, I am six feet tall and I refuse to give up heels. Um, does the word “glamazon” mean anything to you?!

For those of you who are a slightly bolder and like not only a high heel, but unexpected details, you will be pleased to find that of bows, jewels, peep-toes, updated oxfords, and retro shapes. To make your foot appear smaller try round toes, the recent “cap toe” trend, with the toe in a different color than the rest of the shoe (the caveat is these heels are typically higher), color blocks, and banded flats or Mary Jane’s. These styles break the foot into smaller parts and trick the eye. No ladies, there are no Spanx for feet. I googled it.

All advice aside, if you are obsessively self conscious about your feet…they will appear bigger (terribly silly pun intended). So the balance is to wear trends that flatter, but not focus on the negative. While I have a weakness for fashionable trends, I refuse to be enslaved by them. There are a variety of options in terms of large sizes, styles and trends, so shop around until you find the perfect pair (ok, let’s be realistic- the perfect pairs) for fall.

  • On Giving Business Gifts

The giving of business gifts is a deeply embedded practice in many companies. These gifts may range from the cheap key chains, notepads, ballpoint pens, T-shirts, and sports caps, to the valuable executive business gifts like the sleek card holders, pencil holders, cuff links, photo frames, and paperweights.

There are many reasons for giving business gifts. Let us count the ways:

    1. Companies give out business gifts to advertise their brands or services. One of the many reasons businesses give out promotional products is brand awareness. If these business gifts are wearables such as T-shirts, jerseys, bags, or caps, recipients will seen wearing them in many places and that means more people will be seeing your logo.

    2. Business gifts are good purchase incentives. One way of increasing sales is to offer a free item in exchange for purchases. For example, if you’re a coffee shop, you might want to bundle a ceramic mug and a bag of coffee beans together. Another way of using business gifts is to offer them as a reward for multiple purchases. This is what most coffee shops do. In some countries, for example, Starbucks and Seattle’s Best offer planners at the end of the year as a reward when consumers accumulate a number of stickers on a purchase card. It’s a good way of increasing revenue as well.

    3. Use business gifts to launch a product. Corporate gifts are also used to inform consumers about new products. Invitees to the event usually leave with a sample of the product carrying the company’s logo and contact details. There’s no better way to introduce a brand than to allow consumers to try it out. If your product is good, you can rely on word-of-mouth to spread the good news.

    4. Build long-lasting relationships with business gifts. Many companies make it a point to send their business clients a thank-you gift when a deal has been closed or as a way of introducing themselves. Other incidents of the giving of corporate gifts occur during the holidays, the client’s birthday or any other important event in his life, and when the company has made a major milestone. It’s simply a way of thanking those you have done business with, because without them, your company wouldn’t be as successful.

    5. Show appreciation to employees with business gifts. In this instance, it’s most often called corporate gifts. Christmases or end-of-the-year celebrations are not the only reason for giving away corporate gifts. Thank your employees for a job well done, or award them for their loyalty to the company. If the company is celebrating its anniversary, send out thank-you corporate gifts to employees, because if it weren’t for their blood and sweat, your company will be nowhere. They are the people you rely on every day, and every day is an appropriate time to show your gratitude.

If the budget allows it, why not give out an incentive bonus to your employee. Indeed, they are paid to do their job, but the motivation must come elsewhere. These ways are a good way to boost company morale.

  • Whether you choose sheer nightwear or ratty old t-shirts, what you wear to bed each night says quite a bit about who you are. This is true for all types of clothing; when women dress for the day, they are essentially getting ready to play a role. Busy mothers might put on comfortable jeans and warm sweaters. Polished businesswomen might opt for high-powered suits and sleek heels. Classroom teachers might choose modest dresses and casual flats. Why shouldn’t these same women get to continue their role-playing well into the night, catering to themselves instead of the public by simply slipping between the sheets in sheer nightwear that instantly transforms them into sex kittens?

When some women purchase lingerie, it’s for a special occasion. Whether it’s for their upcoming honeymoon, a partner’s birthday or any other reason, wearing a sheer nightgown instead of that boring t-shirt and shorts can make you feel pampered and special. Although most equate wearing sheer nightgowns for special occasions, nothing is better than slipping one on after a long day and listening to soft music while drinking wine and indulging yourself.

If you buy your lingerie piece by piece, picking up some discount lingerie here and some silk lingerie there, it could take you decades to compile the well-stocked lingerie drawer that every woman deserves. Buying lingerie this way also leads to forgetfulness; if you only break out the corsets and garters once or twice a year, you could easily forget some of the delightful treasures you purchased for your anniversaries several years ago. This does everyone a disservice, since lingerie is meant to be remembered and appreciated time and time again.

This is why more and more women are opting to include sheer nightwear as an everyday ritual. If you spend your days in jeans, running errands and picking up after the kids, putting on a cotton nightgown is only going to make your night as boring as the rest of your day. You can pull yourself out of this rut by slipping into something that makes your skin tingle and your mind wander. If you acquire enough quality pieces, you can soon throw out everything flannel, cotton, and shaped like a bag – and put the woman who wore them entirely to rest.

It’s fun being the only one who knows that big secret of what’s underneath your skirt? Now you can take your sexy sheer lingerie with you wherever you go. Let your partner in on the secret before you leave for work and watch as he counts the minutes until you come home. Whether you’re getting ready for work or for an exciting night out on the town, wearing sexy sheer lingerie instead of your usual plain undergarments can make the day or night a lot more fun!

Amanda Cotterill has been involved in the erotic lingerie uk market for many years. This article outlines the benefits of women wearing silk lingerie as if that needed much explaining! Please include this credit if you use this article.

  • Learning to Walk in High Heels

Learning to walk in high heels can be quite the challenge. Shoes can make or break your outfit and shoes with high heels are often the perfect fashion accessory. Shoes with a higher heel can be very intimidating to those who have never worn them before. I’ll walk you through step by step and before you know it, you will be strutting in your sexy shoes!

Step 1. How to Buy Shoes
Obviously the first step in this venture would be to buy a pair of high heel shoes. It is best when first learning to walk in heels to be conservative with your choice. It is much easier to up in heel height than to start with a higher heel and work down. Shoes with heels can be found in almost any height. If you have never worn a dress shoe before, start with a ½ inch to 1 inch heel. If you are comfortable in your standard dress shoes, you may want to start with a shoe with a heel height of 2 to 4 inches. Several factors should go into your choice, as high heel shoes come in a variety of styles. Now that you’ve chosen which heel height you are going to purchase, consider some different styles. There is the standard pump style with a high heel which offers almost no ankle support. Some high heels are available with an ankle strap that for the novice may be a big help.

    Step 2. Balance
Walking in high heel shoes is almost always about balance. It is of utmost importance to maintain proper balance when walking in shoes with any kind of heel to avoid injury. To keep your balance, keep your legs as strait as possible and always be sure to walk from heel to toe. Walking heel to toe allows your muscles to most properly compensate for the unsteadiness of the heel on the shoe. Walking toe to heel has a reverse effect and muscles tend to over compensate quickly to regain balance, resulting in ankle injuries.

    Step 3. First Steps
Now that you have your shoes and you are consciously thinking about keeping your balance, you are ready to start walking in those sexy high heel shoes. First start off by stretching your muscles around your ankle and your calf. Sit on a chair and put your shoes on. Stand up slowly, being sure to have equal pressure throughout your whole foot, including the heel. Take short slow steps, again keeping your feet strait and close together. You may feel the muscles around your ankle contract to compensate for the heel. As you feel more comfortable, take quicker strides in the same fashion. You’ll be walking in your high heels before you know it.

    Step 4. Increase Height
You’ve mastered your beginner heel height and are feeling very confident in your abilities of walking in high heels, but don’t over do it. When you are ready to take the next step, only try increase the heel height by 1/2 to 1 inch at a time. A 1 inch high heel has a more dramatic effect than you may think. This gives your muscles time to adjust to the added pressures and strains and allows your muscles to grow gradually as you increase your heel height.

Please note that while sexy high heel shoes are a must in today’s fashion, they can cause health problems. Strained ankles, deep vein thrombosis, shin splints, and shortening of some of the muscles can all occur from wearing shoes with a heel. Many women wear high these shoes everyday with no medical problems and others can no longer wear them from damage they have caused to their bodies wearing them. Start small, go slow, and stop if you feel any muscle strain or pain anywhere. If you follow those simple guidelines, you should be just fine.
